Exchange and Buy-Back Policy
All Products purchased from Akoirah, whether through the Platform or physical retail stores, shall be eligible for exchange and buyback, subject to the terms set out herein. However, exchange and buyback requests shall be processed only through Akoirah’s physical retail stores and shall not be facilitated through the Platform.
The company offers a lifetime exchange policy for products purchased. Eligibility for exchange is determined upon receipt and inspection of the product, subject to the company’s quality checks.
All exchange and buyback requests shall be subject to a mandatory quality check, which shall be completed within 2 (two) working days from the date of submission of the Product.
Refunds in monetary form shall not be provided under the exchange program. However, you may exchange the product for another item of the same or higher value.
Under this exchange program, the product can be exchanged for another product priced higher than or same as the exchange value of the old product excluding applicable taxes. Also, in case, any coupon, discount or promo codes were used during the original purchase, the exchange amount will be reduced by an amount equivalent to the coupon, discount or promo codes, as applicable and the same shall be the exchange amount to you.
Buyback Policy
The company offers a comprehensive Buyback Policy for its products. Customers can avail 100% buyback value on gold at prevailing market prices**, with the entire amount refunded in cash.
For lab-grown diamonds, the company provides 100% buyback value based on the prevailing market price, excluding taxes, with 80% of the amount refunded in bank account and a credit note for the remaining 20% that can be redeemed on the next purchase*. Customer must provide valid bank account details at the time of buyback. However, if a coupon, discount, or promo code was used during the original purchase, the buyback amount will be reduced by an amount equivalent to the applied offer.
* The 20% amount issued to the customer’s credit note cannot be used to purchase gold coins, silver coins, or loose solitaires. It may only be redeemed against diamond-studded jewellery. The credit note would be non-transferrable and shall be valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
** Prevailing market price refers to the gold rate and the diamond per-carat rate applicable on the date of the buyback request.
The buyback value shall be determined at the sole discretion of Akoirah based on prevailing market rates, product condition, and Akoirah’s internal valuation policies applicable at the time of such request. All exchange and buyback transactions shall be subject to applicable deductions, if any, as determined by Akoirah at the time of such request.
How to Request Exchange / Buyback
To request a product return under the Exchange/Buyback Policy, please follow these steps: Email our Customer Care team at info@akoirah.com and ship the Product to Akoirah. The Customer shall bear all shipping and logistics costs for returning the Product and shall be responsible for ensuring safe delivery of the Product to Akoirah. The Product shall remain at the sole risk of the Customer until it is received and acknowledged by Akoirah. The Customer shall be responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or misplacement of the Product during transit, including while handled by any courier or logistics provider. Akoirah shall not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, or non-delivery of the Product while in transit. The Customer is advised to use secure, insured, and trackable shipping methods.
Exchange and buyback shall be processed only upon successful completion of the quality check. Akoirah reserves the right to reject any request where the Product does not meet its prescribed quality standards, and such decision shall be final and binding.
All payments under the buyback process shall be made only to the bank account of the Customer or payment source that was used by the Customer at the time of the original purchase.
You will be required to return the product in its original packaging along with all the certificates, within the time period stipulated in the email, along with your receipt of purchase, to the address and other documents as intimated to you vide the email.
Eligibility for exchange/buy-back is determined upon receipt and inspection of the product, whether the same is in the same merchantable condition as was dispatched by the Company. In the event of the Product not being in the same merchantable condition as dispatched by the Company, the return will be rejected, and the Product shall be returned to you within 7-15 days subject to shipping time.
However, if the exchange/buy-back is approved, the payment/new product shall be refunded/delivered to you to your bank account/registered address within 7-15 business days of receipt of the product in the condition and manner as stated hereunder.
For the avoidance of doubt, products that are made-to-order (MTO), customized, personalized, or specially manufactured based on Customer specifications shall not be eligible for exchange or buyback under any circumstances.
Cancellation of Orders
The Orders once placed shall be eligible for cancellation only within a period of 72 hours from the date of placement of order. The request for cancellation shall be made to the customer care via email or telephone within the stipulated time. Any refund arising from cancellation shall be credited only to the original payment source used at the time of placing the order.
In the event of the cancellation of order the amount paid under the invoice shall be refunded in the source bank account within a period of 21 days of cancellation.
Akoirah reserves the right to modify this Refund and Returns policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
